After meeting Iona in the gym by chance I had a consultation with her about becoming my Personal Trainer. I never looked back. She is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive in addition to being warm and approachable. She knows exactly what to say when you need to hear it and even when you think you don't. She is understanding, motivational and works to suit your needs and aims. I can't recommend her enough, and regardless of your fitness level, she'll have you in shape in no time. She has helped me find confidence again alongside a love of myself that i thought was long lost and for that i'm incredibly grateful. 😀

Iona is a fabulous little princess!! She's always smiling and full of motivational quotes to keep you going! She adapts every session to your body and makes sure you are getting the most from your time with her! She changed my way of thinking and my perception of fitness. Highly recommend her to all levels of fitness 🙂
I was very unfit and quite overweight, and although had gym membership I wasn't going regularly and making the most of it, as I felt very self conscious there. I decided to try some sessions with a personal trainer, so started working with Iona. Her routines are always varied so it doesn't get boring, and her cheery and fun disposition keeps me going when I'm struggling, and working with a PT makes me feel much less self conscious. I have now decided to enter a charity run and cycle event next year, and feel that with Iona's help I am on my way to achieving the level of fitness I need to complete these.
5 stars from me, Iona May has helped with my confidence and getting back to my healthy, happy self.

I never thought that I would get a personal trainer. But I am so glad that I did. As a bigger lady the idea of going to a gym to work out was horrific. I would not put the work in for fear of looking unfit and unattractive so I would Potter about eviling all the fantastic and healthy looking people doing their workouts! By some miracle I managed to shift a good bit of weight through work out classes, but lost motivation to keep it up and was stuck in a rut. This is when I contacted Iona! I decided to just go for it and was in the gym within a week! The work outs are hard, but Iona has a fantastic manner and enthusiasm which keeps you working hard. She gives you her sole focus and has a laugh with you, which makes working out not as hard as it could be and doesn't make you feel insecure. She keeps everything fun and takes your abuse when you shout at her that you can't do more and turns it around positively to make you want to do more. She also looked at my eating and although I ate well has given me some tips about my eating which have helped a lot! I am still continuing with Iona, on the whole I feel fitter healthier and most important to me, I feel more confident, I enjoy my sessions and look forward to going them each week! If anyone has any doubts about getting a personal trainer do not hold back like I did, just go for it!
She pushes and motivates me tailoring my workouts to target certain muscles. There are days I think she doesn't want me to have the use of my arms (gym ache) but starting to see results in super quick time!

Iona is a fantastic personal trainer! She takes the time to listen to what you want to achieve, and tailors your training to meet those targets. She is always full of energy (I need to learn her secret to becoming a morning person!!) and made my workout sessions fun by mixing things up. I would highly recommend her!
I don't like taking body photos but after complaining the last two weeks that I don't look any different, I decided to do a before and after picture. After 6 weeks of personal training, I can notice a difference in my body but the biggest change is in myself - I feel healthier, my mood has improved and I have lots more energy. Also I now love going to the gym. This is the start of my weight loss and fitness journey. big thanks to Iona May for pushing me and helping me change
Iona's great! Was new to the gym and a little nervous to begin with, but felt at ease with her from day one. She's motivating and very helpful towards reaching your goals. I was surprised at how fast I started to see results with her! Well recommended PT!

Recommended to me through a friend, I immediately felt at ease with Iona. Her manner is encouraging and helpful - no drill sergeant tactics. I've been so impressed with my continued weight loss and significantly improved fitness; I felt so much stronger and healthier after just a short time. I've used gyms before, but with Iona's help I now feel I'm doing it more effectively, and I'm loads more comfortable going on my own in between our sessions. Iona tailors workouts and nutrition advice specifically for me, easing me into accessible lifestyle changes which fit so well it's almost easy. At first I was sceptical of products like protein supplements - that's for body builders, right?! But my morning chocolate protein shake sets me up so much better for the day than my previous fruit smoothie did, and it's chocolate 🙂 I'd definitely recommend Iona to others.
